There seems to be a growing problem with lawlessness in Scioto County. My mailbox has been destroyed twice by vandals, so I decided not to replace it. I have contacted law enforcement and the Post Office but nobody seems to want to react. For this and every Memorial Day my mother places potted flowers on my father’s grave. When she and my visiting brother went out to water them they discovered that they had been stolen. She replaced them with another pot of flowers (that she had purchased). I went out to the cemetery this evening to retrieve the flowers only to find out that some lowlife scum of the earth had stolen them again. Is there no honor for the final resting place of our loved ones? Is there no honor for the final resting place of our veterans?

1. Get a post office box. It is the most reliable and secure way to protect your mail. Not only was my home mail box vandalized, an individual stole a check from the box because the lock was broken. This idiot was snapped on the surveillance camera at a nearby bank. You'll be happy to know that the individual served jail time and paid me back by court order. Their bond was ten times the amount they stole from me.
2. Buy a plain flower pot filled with foam. Cut out a construction paper flower and put on a popsicle stick. Cut out a copy of the letter you wrote to PDT and place in the middle of the paper flower. Leave it on your father's grave--I believe he will have a good laugh in heaven. But, don't be disappointed if the same idiot steals it because they cannot read.
