A Wheelersburg man driving an ATV was killed Sunday in a crash with a pickup truck in Harrison Township.

Ohio State Highway Patrol Lt. Karla Taulbee said 23-year-old Jacob Marshall Dillow was driving a 2002 Honda Sports Trax ATV eastbound on Tick Ridge Road about 7:30 p.m. when he was struck by a 2003 Dodge Durango.

Taulbee said the driver of the Durango fled the scene.

Dillow was flown by medical helicopter to Cabell Huntington Hospital, where he died of his injuries, the OSHP reports.

The crash is under investigation by the Portsmouth Post of the OSHP. Taulbee asks that anyone who witnessed the crash or has information about it to call the Portsmouth Post at 740-354-2888.

Josh Richardson may be contacted at 740-353-3101, ext. 244, or jrichardson@heartlandpublications.com.
