School’s out and it is time join the fun at the Playground for Young Imaginations at the Southern Ohio Museum.

The museum’s acclaimed SmARTcamp is back with a wild, wacky and wonderful creative adventure for ages 7-12 (grades 2-6) the week of Monday, June 18, through Friday, June 22, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. Anchored at the museum with jaunts to nearby highlights like Shawnee State Uuniversity’s music labs and planetarium, Cirque d’Art, and other places. SmARTcamp is designed to bring young imaginations directly into play with at-hand elements of art, music, drama, and architecture all around them and, especially, to encourage their personal creative responses to it all. Real-life artists and arts professionals round out the SmARTcamp faculty each day. Space is limited to 15.

The Southern Ohio Museum also has the exciting, entertaining and educating ARTmoves circus camp available for three weeks this summer. Children can plow all their summertime energy into learning circus aerials, acrobatics, tumbling, clowning and circus theater tricks. Experienced Cirque d’Art Theatre staff guarantee a safe, supportive environment and fun, with scavenger hunts, swim days and field trips sprinkled into the mix for students 7-12 years old. Three separate one-week options: Week 1 is June 25-29; Week 2 is July 16-20; Week 3 is July 30-August 3. Camp is Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each week.

Camp costs $75 per week for each participant with a special $5 discount given to Museum members ($70). There is also a second $5 discount for siblings in the same family.

Registration for either the SmARTcamp or ARTmoves Circus Camp is being taken now at the museum. Call 740-354-5629 to speak with T.R. Beery about camp.

Have they developed that alley yet. How well are they taking care of that responsibility and they want the responsibility of caring for our children?

Oh, are they licensed by the State of Ohio to be a Daycare or school or whatever. Has the health Dept. inspected, etc. ?

We are told nothing by the PDT's until there's a blow up like the SOGP GAMPP-GATE and the Crispy Cream closing cause it's so bad for the public health and welfare and owned by the City Solicitor, the City Council's lawyer, a Navy JAG?

What a hoot, they all are..........

Pepprdawg, a practicing PP CAVER, either went wimping away with his or her tail between their legs, or will come on here labeling these comments as negativity or the like instead of proactively holding our leaders accountable for professional competency for our public health and welfare of the leaders for the 21st. Century, our children.
