Betty May Spriggs Seymour, 84 of South Shore, Ky., died Monday, May 21, 2012, in Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Ky. She was born in Portsmouth, Ohio, Jan. 23, 1928, a daughter of the late Nile Spriggs and Lula Howerton Spriggs.

She was a homemaker, housewife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Seymour; one son, Donald Callihan; grandson, Brian Callihan; a sister, Helen Lowe; four brothers, Harry, George, Walter and Roy Spriggs.

Surviving are one son, David Callihan of South Bloomfield, Ohio; a grandson, Sean Callihan of Westerville, Ohio; and a great-granddaughter, Caitlin Callihan.

Graveside services 2 p.m. Friday at the Mt. Zion Cemetery in South Shore, Ky., with Roger Madden officiating. Burial in Mt. Zion Cemetery.

She will not have any viewing at her request. Services by the Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, Ky.
