A Minford man is charged with breaking and entering, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of oxycodone, after reports of theft of items from the Minford Little League facility on two separate days. Arrested was 40-year-old Patrick C. Brown. Brown had been charged with two counts of breaking and entering, one count of possession of methamphetamine and one count of possession of oxycodone, all fifth-degree felonies.

Scioto County Sheriff Marty V. Donini said his office received a call from the Minford Little League on Thursday reporting somebody had broken into a barn and had stolen 12 metal stadium lights valued at $4,800. They reported again on Friday that the barn had been broken into again and more lights were stolen valued at $3,000.

On Friday the suspect vehicle, a black truck was located on Shumway Hollow Road with some of the stolen property inside, Donini said. Donini said the investigation is ongoing and more charges could be presented to a Scioto County grand jury.

Donini said anyone with any information concerning the theft is asked to call Detective Jodi Conkel at 740-351-1091.
