Yoga

The Portsmouth Public Library will be hosting its Yoga group at 10am in the Copley Meeting Room on Tuesday, May 1.

Learning Green Classes

The Portsmouth Public library will be hosting EPA funded speaker Sylvia Arthur on Saturdays during the month of May. Ms. Arthur will be presenting a series of classes focusing on the state of the environment and methods we can employ to take better care of our planet.

This four week series will begin May 5. Classes will begin at 10am and finish around 12:30pm.

Story times

Story times for children ages 3 months- 6 years will resume in late May.

Wind Chime Mother’s Day Craft

Youth ages 8-12 are invited to the Portsmouth library location May 3 at 4 pm in the Copley Room to make a beautiful wind chime to present to Mom for Mother’s Day. Please visit the Local History department or call 354-5304 to register. Space is limited.

Tail Waggin’ Tutors

Dogs in the library? You bet.

Certified Therapy Dogs from the Southern Ohio All Breed Dog Club (and their owners) will be at various library locations. The dogs will be available to listen to any young reader wishing to practice their skills.

At New Boston-Mondays 3-5pm

At Wheelersburg-Thursdays 4-5:30pm

At Lucasville-Fridays from 3-5pm

At Portsmouth- Saturdays from 2-4pm

The Information Technology Department of the Portsmouth Public Library will be offering a variety of computer classes this week. The schedule is as follows.

Computer Basics at 10am

Computers for Seniors at 4pm

Friday, May 4

Microsoft Excel at 11am
