Bill R. Wiley, 74, of Portsmouth, died Friday, April 27, 2012, at Southern Ohio Medical Center.
He was born Nov. 4, 1937, in Scioto County, to the late William Roy Wiley Sr., and Garnet Ealey Wiley Hearn. He was a Teamster, and member of Local No. 83 Laborers Union.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two great-grandchildren.
He is survived by four sons, William Wiley Jr. of Millersport, Ohio, James Wiley of Lucasville, Michael (Diettera) Wiley of Lucasville, and Ryan Wiley of Lucasville; four daughters, Donetta Reed of Portsmouth, Eva Wiley of Lucasville, Theresa (Dave) Riggs of South Shore, Ky., and Tina Merritt of Sabina, Ohio; 14 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by one brother, Jim Wiley of Columbus; and three sisters, Donna Carson of Columbus, Reva Walter of Columbus, and Eva Williams of Columbus; and several nieces and nephews.
He is also survived by his former wife, Dorothy J. Wiley.
A memorial service will be held 4 p.m. Wednesday, May 2, 2012, at F.C. Daehler Mortuary Company in Portsmouth. Visitation will be from 3 to 4 p.m. before the service on Wednesday.
