Wednesday Prayer Service 7 p.m. with the Wednesday Night Kids Club (WNKC) and Teen Time. Visitation for Sick and Shut-Ins and Church Wide Visitation each week including the Bus Ministry Visitation 11 a.m. each Saturday.


The Adult Choir opener will be “My God is Near” and before the message the Adult Choir will sing “Here I Am, Lord.” Special music for the Morning Worship Service will be a solo by Linda Niner and Josh Stevens and Adam Porter will be playing an Alto Sax Duet. Missionary Ross Pyle and his wife, Sue, will also be special guests for the day with Ross Pyle bringing the message in both the morning and evening services. Special missionaries for the week will be Steve & Caroline Mann serving in England.


Mark Pierce will continue the special series on the Wednesday night study.


Scheduled Nursery Workers are Patty Johnson, Marj O’Brien and Jennifer Pierce.


There are Sunday School Classes for all ages and a Nursery provided with skilled workers to assist with little ones, Junior Church for the smaller age group and Bus Ministry provided.


Berean’s Junior and Senior quizzing and sword drills teams will be going to the Olympics on Friday, May 11, 2012, 7:30 p.m. at Northwest High School


First Church of Christ


A VBS meeting and carry-in salad meal will be at 5 p.m. Sunday, April 29, at First Church of Christ, 1224 Dogwood Ridge Road, Wheelersburg. The meeting will be for anyone who would like to help with creating the designs for the theme “Adventures on Promise Island.” VBS will be conducted the third week in July.


The congregation will attend the “Singspiritation” at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, April 29, at Central Church of Christ, 1211 Grandview Ave., Portsmouth.


The youth of the First Church of Christ will have their annual yard sale, a fundraiser for their activities, from 8 a.m. until noon Saturday, May 5, on the church parking lot. If you have items which you would like to donate, please call the church office.

Wakefield Free Will Baptist Church will host a big, annual spring garage sale in the Fire Station in Wakefield on May 4 and 5, 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. There will be a bake sale, and other refreshments on sale. Funds go to help missions, children’s home, etc. Rain or shine. A large variety of items for sale.

Back Run Community House of Prayer


Back Run Community House of Prayer, 3370 Millers Run Back Run Road, Lucasville, is having a Benefit Song Fest Fundraiser, Saturday, May 5, at 6 p.m. at the church. The funds will be used to upgrade repairs on the church building. The Song Fest will feature two groups, Almost There and Ray of Hope. Food will be served after the service, as well as a raffle for door prizes.

Christ’s Restoration Branch, 585 Pine Lane and Rt. 348 in Lucasville, is having a Fish Dinner, on Saturday, May 5, from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. Adults $6, 12 and under $3, 2-years-old and under free. McDermott Community of Christ Young Adults will have a pizza party at the church Saturday, April 28, at 6 p.m.


A prayer meeting will be held during the 10:45 a.m. Morning Worship service, following Church School, which begins at 9:45 a.m. This will also be Camp Bountiful offering day.


A free soup and sandwich lunch is held every Thursday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the church. Everyone in the community is welcome to attend and join in the food and fellowship. This meal will be served in our new fellowship hall at the church.
