Shawnee State University’s popular Kids on Campus summer academic enrichment program returns to campus Monday, June 25, through Thursday, June 28.
All children currently enrolled in first through eighth grades can attend. Classes will be formed according to the following grade level groups: Grades 1-3, grades 4-6, and grades 7-8.
Kids on Campus offers more than 40 different courses, from dancing, cheerleading and guitar to sports and science projects, baking, art and photography – too numerous to list all of them but enough classes to choose from to keep the student’s interest.
Area teachers and other community leaders design unique and fun classes specifically for this program. All students are well supervised and provided with exciting and educational activities.
Students may enroll in one, two or all three of the course sessions. Courses will be offered three times throughout each day beginning at 9 a.m.
The registration fee is $55 per course until May 31. After May 31, the fee is $70. On-site registration on the first day of the program is $75 per course. A confirmation with your child’s schedule will be mailed to you before Kids on Campus begins.
Students staying through lunch time may either bring their own lunch or request a lunch each day. The fee for the provided lunch is $25 per student for the entire four-day program.
Registration may be made by phone at 740-351-3274 with Discover, MasterCard, or Visa or fax to 740-351-3598 or mail the registration form to University Outreach Services, Shawnee State University, 940 Second St., Portsmouth, OH 45662. Office hours are Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
