Jesse L. Sexton, 73, of Wheelersburg, went to be with his Lord on Monday, March 26, 2012. Born April 19, 1938, in Ruggles, Ky., he was a son of the late Elmer and Virgie Parker Sexton and a retired operating engineer for Local #18 in Columbus. Jesse was a member and assistant Sunday School Superintendent at Antioch Free Will Baptist Church and was a member of Aurora Lodge #48. Also preceding him in death were a daughter, Dana Sexton; brothers, Alva and Raymond Sexton; and sisters Lodema Williams, Billa Jean Siefeit, and Juanita Tolley. Surviving are his wife, Linda Ruggles Sexton; two sisters, Goldie Dummitt of Garrison, Ky., and Ethel Pruitt of Quincy, Ky.; and several nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE with Pastor Rick Henderson officiating. Interment will be in Vernon Cemetery. A Masonic service will be held at 8 p.m. on Friday. The family will receive friends at Brant’s in Sciotoville from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday.
