Carolyn Sue Brown, 64, of Sciotoville, died Saturday, March 17, 2012, at the SOMC Hospice Center. Born September 11, 1947, in New Boston, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Geneva Spriggs Wolfe. Carolyn was an employee of the former Millhuff’s Department Store and Grocery, and Juvenile Detention Center in Franklin Furnace, and was a member of Cedar Street Church of Christ in Christian Union. Also preceding her in death were a sister, Penny Buckley. Surviving are a son, Shawn (Derria) Kelley of Minford; a daughter, Wendy (Adam) Bauer of Lucasville; a brother, Denny Buckley of New Boston; grandchildren Kolton and Kason Bauer and Kelton and Kaden Kelley; and her former husband, Phillip Brown of Sciotoville. A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE with Rev. Gary Heimbach officiating. Interment will be in Old Wheelersburg Cemetery. Friends may call at Brant’s in Sciotoville 6 p.m.-8 p.m. on Monday. Memorial contributions may be made to the SOMC Hospice and Sierra’s Haven.
