The Village of New Boston is hosting a second-chance meeting Wednesday evening to provide residents from all of Scioto County with information about locking-in lower flood insurance rates offered by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). The meeting is 6 p.m. Wednesday (Feb. 29) at the New Boston Community Center on Rhodes Avenue. All residents of Scioto County, and local insurance agents, are invited to attend.
New Boston Village Administrator Steve Hamilton said this will be the public’s last chance to receive information about the low-rate flood insurance, and warns that some have already seen insurance rates increase of 60 percent.
