Daryn Patrick Gee, 39, of Lucasville, Ohio, passed away peacefully Saturday evening, Feb. 4, 2012, at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth. He was born December 16, 1972, in Portsmouth. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; Walter and Ann Gee of Lucasville, and John and Oma Newman, also of Lucasville. He was also preceded in death by a special uncle, Wallace Montgomery.

He is survived by his beloved sons, Garrek Seth Gee, and Aidaen Wallace Gee, both at home. He is also survived by his parents, Larry and Nita Gee of Lucasville; one brother, Eric Todd Gee (Cindy) of Gallipolis, Ohio; two nieces, Chloe and Shophia Gee of Gallipolis; a special aunt, Mary Lou Montgomery of Lucasville; two uncles, Walter J. Gee Jr. of Boston, Mass., and Robert F. Gee of Portsmouth. Daryn is also survived by many cousins and close friends.

He was a 1991 graduate of Northwest High School. He attended Shawnee State University where he played his most beloved sport — soccer. A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, Feb. 26, 2012, at Morgan Township Fire Dept. on Big Bear Creek Road in Lucasville at 4 p.m. The family will receive friends and relatives an hour before the service at 3 p.m. Rev. George Vastine and Rev. Jerry D. Stevens will be officiating. The family wishes to express thanks to everyone for all your acts of kindness through food, phone calls, prayers, email, cards, and letters. We wish to give special thanks to Scioto Squad 2. A meal will follow the service.
