Two Toledo men face drug charges

A Toledo man is facing drug charges after he was stopped about 8:05 p.m. Friday for an alleged traffic violation in Pike County. The Chillicothe post of the of the Ohio State Highway Patrol reports that a trooper stopped a vehicle on U.S. 23. The trooper reports smelling marijuana, and the Waverly Police Department responded to assist. The drivr, Michael L. Armstrong, 23, of Toledo, was searched and the OSHP say 62 grams of crack cocaine was discovered. A search of the passenger, Ovie L. Sarter, 22, of Toledo revealed a small amount of marjuana, OSHP reports.

Armstrong was arrested and incarcerated in the Scioto County Jail for felony possession and trafficking of drugs. Sarter was cited and released for misdemeanor possession of marijuana.
