Dr. George Raymond Pierson, 82, of Portsmouth, passed away at SOMC, Wednesday Dec . 21. 2011.
He was born Aug. 13, 1929 in Grafton, W.Va., to the late Albert Raymond and Estela Pearl Ball Pierson. George was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War and was an associate professor of Psychology at the University of Southern Oregon and was a Methodist.
He is survived by his caregivers Rosemary and Bill Skaggs of Portsmouth, with whom he made his home; three nephews and one sister-in-law.
Interment will be Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2011, at the Dayton National Cemetery at 2 p.m. with military honors by the Wright-Patterson AFB honor guard.
