A woman working as a pharmacy tech at an area pharmacy has been charged with theft, and has reportedly told Scioto County deputies she has been taking pills from the business for six months.
Devany McElroy, 20, of 19 Hill St., Piketon, an employee at Staker’s Pharmacy on Galena Pike in West Portsmouth, faces a theft charge after an employee told deputies he saw her take a generic Percocet pill. When deputies searched her purse, they said they found an Ibprofen bottle with three 600-milligram Ibuprofen tablets and eight Adipex tablets, as well as half a Xanax tablet. Deputies said she told them she had stolen 10 Adipex tablets.
