Bloom-Vernon Schools Veteran’s Day Assembly

The public is invited to attend a Veteran’s Day Assembly on Friday at 1:30 p.m., at South Webster High School. This Veteran’s observance will feature the James Irwin Post 622 with members presenting colors and a flag folding ceremony. Musical groups from Bloom-Vernon Elementary and South Webster High School will perform. Any questions regarding this assembly may be addressed to Mr. Rodney Barnett, 778-0001.

Hill View Veteran’s Day Event

Hill View will have its Veteran’s Day Program at 10:30 a.m. Nov. 11 in the Forest Room. Private First Class Ernest West will be the event’s honored guest. West is a Congressional Medal of Honor recipient. Brigadier General Dr. John Kasper will also be on hand.

Northwest High School Veteran’s Day Event

Northwest High School will host a Veteran’s Day Event on Friday at noon with featured speaker Keith Maupin, father of Private First Class Matt Maupin who was captured and killed in Iraq.

Tracy Park Veterans Day’s Event

The Post #23 American Legion Family will be participating with the Scioto County Veterans Service Commission at Tracy Park in remembering our living and deceased Veterans from all wars.

Nov. 12

Cedero Kenova W.Va. Veterans Day Parade

The Shrine Hillblies will meet and depart from the Wheelersburg Kroger Store parking lot at 8:30AM. The 40-8 Voiture with Box Car will meet and depart Post #23 at 8:00AM and rendevous with the Hllbillies in Wheelersburg. At that time we wil continue on to the Cedero Kenova American Legion Post 93 for ” Coffee ” and directions to the assembly point. Post 93 will serve lunch after the parade. Refreshments will be available. The afternoons events at Post 93 are available to adults only. Per their request, adults only. Our ladies are encouraged to be with us on both occasions.
