Savilla Marie Ruggles, age 54, died November 4, 2011, at home after a two-year struggle with cancer. She was born September 29, 1957, in Kenton, Ohio, to Melvin Neale and Betty Jeanne Turner.

She was a graduate of Ridgemont High School, Hardin Co. and a graduate of The Ohio State University. She was a homemaker, an employee at Greenfield Schools, an employee of State Farm Insurance and with Creative Memories. She was a member of Frankfort United Methodist Church, Fruitdale United Methodist Church, Wheelersburg Baptist Church and a member of Greater Scioto Valley Emmaus Community.

Surviving are her husband, Edward Dale Ruggle, who she married May 20, 1978, in Hardin Co., Ohio. Also surviving are two sons, Eli Jenin Ruggles of Piketon, Joshua Neale Ruggles of Wheelersburg; one daughter, Kayla Marie Edwards of Wheelersburg; five sisters, Melinda Grunden of Cecil, Ohio, Marcia Supan of Frankfort Ill., Marilyn McPheron of Port Matilda, Pa., Sara Hoenshel of Kenton, Ohio, and Melva Roof of Kenton, Ohio.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, November 9, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at the Wheelersburg Baptist Church, with Pastor Brad Brandt officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Burial Park. Friends may call at the Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg on Tuesday, November 8, 2011, from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home and 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers please make donations in Savilla’s name to SOMC Hospice or Scioto Hills Christian Camp & Retreat Center, 1009 Martin Rd., Wheelersburg, OH 45694.
