Born April 21, 1941 in Kanawha County, W.Va., a daughter of the late Howard and Barbara Jarrell Freeman, she was a homemaker and was of the Pentecostal faith.
She is survived by her husband, Ralph W. Dever, whom she married in November 1959; six daughters, Tammy Hale of McArthur, Betty Dever of Minford, Tina Dever of McArthur, Judy Fee of Ray, Faye Malone of Radcliff, and Missy Gussler of Dundas; 14 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; two brothers, Berman Freeman of Georgia and Joe Freeman of Ironton; four sisters, Carmella Freeman of Portsmouth, Shirley Potter of Clyde, Betty Lowder of Vermillon, and Nancy Pistole of Portsmouth
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Ronald Lee Dever and Ralph B. Dever.
Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2008, at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford, with Pastor Tim Palla officiating. Burial will be in White Cemetery near Minford. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday and one hour before the service Tuesday.
