Mary Gertrude Hall, 86, of Rosemount, died Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2008, in the SOMC Hospice House.

Born March 18, 1922, in Minford, she was a daughter of the late Homer and Mabel Sudbrook Gilliland and retired from the former Millhuff's Department Store with over 30 years of service. "Ma" was a member of the Sciotoville Christian Church and an active volunteer at many area convalescent centers.

Also preceding Gertie in death were a son, Jack Hall; and two brothers, Virgil Gilliland and Samuel Gilliland.

Surviving are a daughter, Nancy (David R.) Gable of Rosemount; grandchildren, Darby (Barbie) Gable and Keri (Mark) Kuhn; great-grandchildren, Katie Gable and Kenny Gable; and her extended family at Heartland who affectionately knew her as "Ma."

A funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday at the Brant Funeral Home in Sciotoville, with Galen E. Hahn and Dan Rowe, ministers officiating. Interment will be in the Memorial Burial Park. Friends may call at Brant's in Sciotoville from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday.
