The Scioto County Career Technical Center (SciotoTech) has partnered with Glockner's on U.S. 23 to offer a complete adult diesel education course.
"The way it started was simply a phone call, asking if I could maybe steer them the right way, and what they might need to get started. Turned out, we had a real need for technicians and they had a need for the knowledge, tooling and equipment. So we teamed and decided to do this as an off-campus facility," said instructor Gus Saltsman, of Glockner's.
Eight students made up the first class that began in July. Classes last one full-year, Monday-though-Friday, 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. --
