The Hoover family might need to clear out a room in their house just for their karate trophies.

Nate Hoover brought home three top place finish after competing at the 32nd West Virginia State Karate & JuJitsu Championship. Nate brought home atop honors in fighting, forms and weapons. He also defeated another competitor to claim the championship sword.

Younger brother, Nick Hoover also brought home a couple of top place finishes winning the forms and weapons divisions.

Mother, Marie Hoover also competed Marie brought home a pair of top place finishes one in forms and one in weapons to go with sons' top place finishes.

All together the family took seven top place honor at the competition. All three Hoovers are students of the Bender Dojo. Along with the Hoovers another local competitor Whitney Steiner also competed in the West Virginia State Karate and Jujitsu Championship. Steiner also was able to bring back some hardware to the area. Steiner brought back with three top place finishes in her division. Steiner won top honors in forms, fighting and weapons. Steiner is a student of Groves Dojo.

The competition was held at Cabell Midland High School in Ona, West Virginia.
