Born May 5, 1924, in Portsmouth, a daughter of the late Richard Nelson Keaton and Effie Mae Adkins Keaton, she was a homemaker. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post 622 for 25 years, where she held the office of secretary for several years. She was a member of the Scioto County Home-makers and the Eastern Homemakers.
She is survived by a son, Ernie W. Riddlebarger and his wife Sandra of Stafford, Va.; one daughter, Donna Green and husband Jerry of Wheelersburg; a daughter-in-law, Lorri Riddlebarger of Minford; a brother, Richard Keaton Jr. of Franklin, Ohio; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, John W. Riddlebarger, on April 2, 1974; one son, Roger Riddlebarger; one granddaughter, Lisa Michell Riddlebarger; three sisters, Alice Irene Keaton, Ivory Cox and Audrey Shaffer; and four brothers, Ivan Keaton, Ervin Keaton, Robert Keaton and William Keaton.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 22, 2008, at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford, with Ron Parker and Bernard Twinam officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Franklin Furnace. Friends may call at the funeral home from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday and one hour before the service on Monday. A Ladies Legion Auxiliary service will be conducted at 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
