Dahlia McCoy Campbell, 83, of Lucasville, Ohio, formerly of Burnwell, Ky., passed away Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2008, in Lucasville, Ohio.

Born July 27, 1925, in Pike County, Ky., she was the daughter of the late James and Virgie Jude McCoy. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, William T. "Bill" Campbell; one granddaughter; several brothers and sisters.

She was a former gospel music singer with her family group, The Campbell Family Singers, and she was the mother of the Campbell Sisters and The Late Nite Band.

Survivors include five daughters, Lynn (Carl) Deaubler of Minford, Ohio, Diana Gay Campbell of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, Margaret Campbell of Wheelersburg, Ohio, Darline (Joseph) Ferguson of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, and Billie Campbell Long of Lucasville, Ohio; two brothers; one sister; six grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Aug. 30, 2008, at the Hatfield Funeral Chapel in Toler, Ky., and burial followed in the McCoy Cemetery at Burnwell, Ky.
