I'm only 13 years old and yet many of my letters have been used in issues of the Portsmouth Daily Times. Out of all letters, I hope for this one to be the most meaningful one yet.

Look around you. Look at Portsmouth and other cities. What do you see? I know I see pollution and trash on the road sides and in the air. Portsmouth used to be a booming city. It sadly crashed, but we are trying to build it back up.

But there's a catch.... you can't really do that with harmful pollutants in the air. So in that case we should have a plan or be on a mission to clean up Scioto County! We don't want to be known as the polluted city! We want to be known for what we used to be known for.

Do simple things such as walk or ride a bike, recycle and reuse. (Recycling bins are found at the J.W. Village Market)

For example, reuse your water bottles. So please join me Scioto County. We're on a mission and what are you prepared to do?
