Phyllis Jo Geichman, 72, of Wilmington, a former Miamisburg resident, passed away Tuesday, July 22, 2008, at The Ohio State University Hospital. She was born in Portsmouth, Jan. 20, 1936, to the late Theodore Thomas and Elizabeth Nancy Salyers Smith. Phyllis was a retired secretary and a 1954 graduate of Portsmouth West High School.

Surviving Phyllis is her husband, Jack R. Geichman, whom she married in Richmond, Ind., on March 2, 1957; her son, Mike Geichman of Wilmington; two daughters, Lisa (John) Prosek of Columbus, and Beth (Jim) Clemmer of West Carrollton; her brother, Ted Smith of Portsmouth; a granddaughter, Lauren (Zack) Loomis; and two great-grandchildren, Samuel Miller and Gloria Panzing.

Memorial services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Ralph F. Scott Funeral Home in Portsmouth, with the Rev. John Robbins officiating.

The family would like to express their thanks to The Ohio State University Hospital for the wonderful compassion and treatment of Phyllis and her family.
