Jack D. Thatcher, 60, of Pataskala, passed away at his residence on July 11, 2008, surrounded by his family.

Born on July 4, 1948, to the late James O. and Dorothy Williams Thatcher in Portsmouth, Ohio. Jack retired from OSU East Nuclear Med. Department and worked at Park Medical Center and St. Anthony's Hospital. He took great joy in his grandchildren, fishing, hunting, reading and movies. Jack was a Vietnam Veteran.

Survived by his wife of 23 years, Loretta LeFevre Thatcher; father of Brian (Stacy) Thatcher, Daniel Thatcher, Fred (Michele) Thatcher and Jason (Amy) Thatcher; grandfather of Emily, Grace and Jacob; brother of Rick Thatcher and Michael (Marcia) Thatcher; best friend, Chuck Griesinger; and uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at Kauber-Sammons Funeral Home, Pataskala on Monday, July 14, 2008, from 5 to 8 p.m. Funeral service on Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Hosanna Lutheran Church, 7714 Hazelton-Etna Road, Pataskala, with Pastor Wayne Zavotka and Pastor Ann Marie Winters officiating. Burial to follow at the Pataskala Cemetery.
