She was born Aug. 30, 1933, in Lancaster, Ohio, a daughter of the late Howard and Lillie Gordon Highley.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Spriggs, Feb. 19, 1987.
She was a homemaker.
She is survived by four sons, Kenneth (Sonja) Spriggs of Winter Haven, Fla., Montie (Davida) Spriggs of Rosemount, Pat (Wanda) Spriggs of Portsmouth, and Bobby Spriggs of Bowling Green, Fla.; one daughter, Betty (Charles) Blankenship of Winter Haven, Fla., 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Donald Highley of Houston, Texas.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday, July 11, 2008, at the McKinley Funeral Home in Lucasville, with Bud Mefford officiating. Burial will follow in Lucasville Cemetery. Friends may call 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
