A native of Portsmouth, Ohio, he is survived by a son, Donny (Amy) Holmes; daughters, Deidre Edwards and Donyelle Edwards; a stepson, Josh Brown; an ex-wife, Melanie Brown; mother, Doris Edwards; four sisters, Lenora, Charlene, Joyce and Mildred; two brothers, Sean and Micah; six grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and a host of close friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harry Edwards; grandparents, Richard and Anna Lee Myers; brother, Chris Garnett; and a granddaughter, Emily Jane Cooper.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 5, at 11 a.m. at Living Faith Temple, 1329 Kinney St., Portsmouth, Ohio. Friends and family are invited to remember him with us.
