In the terms of OSFC conditional funding, New Boston can build a $19.2-million K-12 school, with the state of Ohio providing 88 percent of the cost. Also included in the offer is a $2-million allowance for site development.
"The board has worked very closely with OSFC for the past several months. A couple of the things we were concerned with is site prep, and we've got a figure built in for that. So we're very pleased with that, and we're finally pleased with our enrollment projections," said New Boston Superintendent Mike Staggs.
The board unanimously voted to accept the OSFC offer, and it now will go to the state controlling board for final approval in August.
