She was born April 28, 1931, in West McCullough, Scioto County, Ohio, to the late Jasper Newton and Charlotte Alice Throckmorton Stephens.
Pauline was a homemaker and a member of Wheelersburg Christian Baptist Church. She supported St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and the American Cancer Society.
On June 30, 1989, her husband Curtis Louis Campbell, whom she married in Portsmouth March 11, 1948, preceded her in death.
Surviving are three sons, Curtis Edward (Martha) Campbell of McDermott, Louis Wayne (Brenda) Campbell of Wheelersburg, and Dennis Lee (Sonja) Campbell of Portsmouth; two daughters, Nita Louise (David) Lovely of Mansfield and Shirley Ann (Wyatt) Wheeler of New Boston; 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
Also preceding her in death were 11 brothers, Frederick, Harold, Herbert, Elmer and Robert Stevens, and Albert, Eugene, Herman, Howard, Jesse and Warren Stephens; and four sisters, Mary Castle, Laura Monk, Roxie Riley and Martha Thomas.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at the Ralph F. Scott Funeral Home in Portsmouth, with the Rev. Ralph Frazie officiating and interment in Scioto Burial Park.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m., and Monday from noon until 1 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and SOMC Hospice.
