Reader says local Democratic Party vice chair should support Obama

I read with interest the article of June 7, regarding Gov. Strickland's shift of support to Sen. Barack Obama.

Too bad our third vice chair of the local Democratic Party lacks the governor's graciousness, or even Sen. Hillary Clinton, when it comes to the shift of support.

Perhaps you remain personally bitter about Hillary's concession, Mr. Lindsay, but as a party leader, you should be ready to move ahead with the kind of enthusiasm Mr. Obama deserves.

Obama is an extremely intelligent man who planned, organized and carried out one the most successful campaigns ever, against all odds and despite the many ugly barriers placed in his way.

We need to look beyond the smoke screens and stop listening to the hate mongers.

I believe once you take a long and serious look at Sen. Obama's experiences, it will be very obvious he has the capability to become the president Americans truly deserve.

If we fail, once again, to seek the truth and allow those who operate in devious ways to satisfy their greed and blind us from our own good sense, then we are foolish and deserve whatever comes.
