Born April 28, 1919, in Scioto County, a daughter of the late Thomas and Emma Allen Pitts, she was a homemaker, was a member of Harrison Mill Church of Christ in Christian Union and attended Minford Church of the Nazarene.
She is survived by four sons, Eugene Raby of Hillsboro, Robert Lee Raby of Minford, Floyd G. Raby of Minford, and John P. Raby of Minford; one daughter, Lisa (Darrell) Cline of Florida; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; and one sister, Ethel Smith of Dayton.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John A. Raby on November 20, 1995, whom she married in 1934; two daughters; one son; one brother, Marvin Allen; and one sister, Helen Potters.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, May 16, 2008, at Minford Church of the Nazarene in Minford, with Pastor Mark Bales officiating. Burial will be at White Cemetery in Minford. Friends may call at the church from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday before the service. Arrangements are under the direction of Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford.
