A woman accused by her ex-husband of threatening him with a knife has been arrested at her home.

Scioto County Sheriff's deputies have charged Robin E. Hoffer-Johnson, 46, of 14007 Ohio 73, McDermott, with domestic violence, after deputies received a call she was holding a man at knifepoint.

Deputy Steve Sissell said when he arrived at the residence, he made contact with the victim, Marc Hoffer, who told him his ex-wife was upstairs in their residence with a knife.

Sissell said when he entered the residence, he observed Hoffer-Johnson at the top of the stairs, holding her hands in the air with a knife laying at her feet.

Marc Hoffer told Sissell when Hoffer-Johnson was about 3 feet away from him, she lunged at him with the knife.

Hoffer told the deputy while he was standing at the bottom of the stairs waiting for the deputy to arrive, Hoffer-Johnson made threatening gestures with the knife as if she was going to cut or stab him, and threatened to "slice him up," while he slept.

Deputies placed Hoffer-Johnson under arrest, and took her to the sheriff's office for booking and processing.

Sissell said the two were divorced, but have been living together for several years and have a child in common.
