Agnes Delores "Dirty Gertie" Piatt, 71, of South Shore, Ky., died Saturday, April 12, 2008, at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Ky.
She was born in Greenup, Ky., Nov. 11, 1936, a daughter of the late Lyman Taylor and Minnie Wolfe Taylor. She was a homemaker and mom.
Surviving are one son, Donald Taylor of Sandy Hook, Ky.; two stepsons, John Piatt Jr., of California, and William Piatt of Cincinnati; three daughters, Leatha (Huey) Grizzell of Wheelersburg, Ohio, Connie Ratcliff and David Wright, of South Shore, Ky., and Vina Piatt of South Shore, Ky.; one stepdaughter, Nellie (David) Ingvalson of Minnesota; one sister, Darlene (Lowell) Meenach of South Shore, Ky.; 10 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She also was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Williams and Alma Blankenship; and one brother, William Murphy.
Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 16, 2008, at Mount Zion Cemetery, with the Rev. Jim Brandenburg and the Rev. Cline McCallister officiating. Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery. Friends may call at Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, Ky., from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour Wednesday.
