The eight-hour course "AARP Driver Safety Program" (55 Alive) will take place from noon to 4 p.m. Thursday and Friday, at the Senior Center, 117 Market St.
The "AARP Driver Safety Program," the nation's first and largest classroom refresher course for motorists 50 and older, will teach attendees how to change their driving habits to compensate for aging. Auto insurance companies may offer attendees a discount for attending (check with an insurance agent for more details). No tests are administered during the course.
Registration is required and can be made by calling (740) 354-6672. Course fee is $10 and can be paid at the beginning of the class or at the Senior Center office. A minimum of 10 people is necessary to provide the class.
