In a seesaw scoring battle it was the Panthers that clawed their way to victory over the Bobcats.

Clay went into the final inning trailing by two. It scored those two plus another when Brandon Puckett took an 0-2 pitch into right field to score the game-winning run as the Panthers won 11-10.

Clay almost won on the previous at bat when Kyle Pollard layed down a bunt in an attempted suicide squeeze. The bunt resulted in a base hit, but the runner didn't advance.

"Nik Blanton did a great job pitching," Clay coach Mark Robinson. "He had that rough inning and he bounced back... It could have went either way."

Clay plays Coal Grove today.

Zach Parker had three RBI in the game.
