Safety gloves and garbage bags will be provided by Lawrence-Scioto SWMD Recycling and Litter Prevention, and will be available on site. Wear sturdy shoes and dress for the weather.
Habitat chapter plans fundraiser
The Scioto County Habitat for Humanity Chapter will team up with Williams Restaurant, 603 Chillicothe St., for a fundraiser from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday. Williams will donate a percentage of its profits from both days to the habitat chapter.
Banquet is set for Thursday
Ohio Valley Regional Development Commission's 40th-anniversary March Full Commission Meeting and Election of Officers will be Thursday at Peebles Church of Christ, 6050 Steam Furnace Road, Peebles. Registration will begin at 5:30 p.m., with the banquet starting at 6 p.m. Tom Snyder of Ohio Cooperative Development Center at OSU Piketon will speak briefly on the newly formed health benefits cooperative.
OVRDC officers and executive committee will be elected for March 2008-09 during the full commission business meeting, which will be conducted after the dinner.
