Breakfast with Santa is set

Breakfast with Santa will be from 9 a.m. to noon Dec. 1, at the AEP Building, 525 Third St., Ironton. Breakfast will include pancakes, sausages, orange juice, milk and coffee. There will be free pictures with Santa, Cost will be $5 per person for the breakfast.

Town hall meeting is Tuesday

The Division of Minority Business Affairs of the Ohio Department of Development will have a town hall meeting for Gallia, Ross and Scioto counties from 1 to 5 p.m. Dec. 4, at the Portsmouth MCBAP Office, 1206 Waller St.

The meeting will be for minority contractors and business assistance program, and to address the concerns and issues of minority business owners, and establish a plan to help them grow and succeed.

Maxine Malone, director, will be the facilitator.

Registration is required. Call Maxine Malone at (740) 354-6626 to register. Seating is limited.

Cornhole tourney is Saturday

The first Canal Industries/MR-DD Cornhole Tournament will be Saturday at the Pike Metropolitan Housing Authority Maintenance Facility, 2710 Shyville Road, Piketon. Registration will begin at 10 a.m. Bags will begin to fly at 11 a.m. Prizes will be $400 for first place, $200 for second place and $100 for third place. Entry will be $50 per team.

All proceeds will be used for the MR-DD Housing Program. Contact Gary B. Roberts at (740) 835-1772 for more information.

Jaycees plans sign-ups

Portsmouth Area Jaycees will have its annual Christmas Help sign-up from 10 a.m. until noon Dec. 4, at the Jaycee Club House, 2033 Gallia St. Those wishing to register will need to bring with them, proof of income and Social Security numbers for everyone in the household.
