A funeral service for Gerald D. “Gary” Bowling, 70, of Heath, will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 14, at Heath United Methodist Church, 1149 Hebron Road, Heath, with Pastor Jim Sharrett officiating. Burial will follow in Newark Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Bowling died Nov. 11, 2007, at Flint Ridge Nursing and Rehab Center. He was born Sept. 8, 1937, in New Boston, Ohio, to the late Douglas H. and Gladys Rose Flaugher Bowling.

Mr. Bowling was retired from Owens-Corning Tech. Center. He was a member of Heath United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Carolyn M. Doug-las Bowling; a daughter, Amy Lynn (Robert) Magorien of Caldwell; two sons, Gregory Dale (Lisa) Bowling of Toledo, and Philip Douglas (Cyn-thia) Bowling of Newark; 10 grandchildren; three brothers, Lonnie (Jackie) Bowling of Point Pleasant, W.Va., I.M. (Kathryn) Bowling of Cheyene, Wyo., and Marvin (Shar-on) Bowling of Grove City; three sisters, Norma Jean Emshwiller of New Boston, Donna Sue Richard of Columbus and Sharon Lee (Denny) Thompson of Piketon; and many nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are under the direction of Heath Chapel of Henderson-Van Atta Funeral & Cremation Service, 1249 Hebron Road, Heath.
