Rosalie N. Stauffer, 71, of Portsmouth, Ohio, formerly of Lima, died 11:20 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 4. 2007, at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth.

She was born on June 1, 1936, in Lima, to Sanford and Margaret Wallace Smith, and they preceded her in death. She also was preceded in death by a sister, Sharon Elizabeth Neuman.

Rosalie is survived by her children, Matthew Eric (Karen Jean) Stauffer of Delaware, Ohio, and Michelle Elizabeth (Larry) Keller of Lucasville, Ohio; her grandchildren, Amy Michelle Keller, Angela Marie Keller, Ashley Margaret Keller, Shawn Matthew Stauffer, Stephen Eric Stauffer, Mitchell Don Stauffer, Alicia Teresa Stauffer, Mark Wayne Stauffer, Tessa L.A. Henry, Jeanne E. Henry and Zoey E.N. Hunter; and her great-grandchildren, Hunter Eric Stauffer and Conner James Patton.

Mrs. Stauffer was a registered nurse. She was a 1954 graduate of Central High School in Lima, and a 1958 nursing graduate of White Cross Hospital in Columbus. She was a volunteer at Southern Ohio Medical Center and had been a former member of Christ Church Episcopal in Lima, Ohio.

Graveside services will take place Friday, Nov. 9, at 2:30 p.m. in Woodlawn Cemetery with Father Mark Hammond officiating.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Siferd-Orians Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio.
