Naomi Mannarino, 82, of Portsmouth, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2007, at Heartland Nursing Home.

Born on May 27, 1925, she was the daughter of Montgomery and Buelah Tarr.

She was preceded in death by husbands, Roy Fannin, Albert Allen, and E. Mannarino; one daughter, Donna Baron of Florida; three brothers, Ted, Ulysses and Bill; and two sisters, Kathryn Miller and Madeline Harris.

She is survived by one sister, Lillian Speck of Portsmouth, and many friends. She was the mother of seven daughters and one son; David Fannin, Penny France of Dayton, Ohio, Jackie (Jess) Burchett of Portsmouth, Diane Fannin of Portsmouth, Cindy (Dick) Greathouse of Lucasville, Susan (Andy) Allen Havens of Portsmouth, and Robin Dugan of Portsmouth; grandchildren, Jeri and Tina, Ralph, Matt, Michelle, Penny Sue, Kimmy and Jo-Jo, Mike (Tammy) Roush, David (Lori) Roush (great-grandchildren, Justin and Katie), Neomi (great-grandchildren, Kaleb and Molly) Burchett, Dickie, Josh, and Ben Greathouse, Jeff (Janet) Book (great-grandchildren Billy and Bryan), Stephanie (Junlan) Fernando, Steven Dugan (great-grandchild, Larry), and Adam Dugan (great-grandchild, Sierra).

She retired from Southern Ohio Medical Center in the diet office and was a member of Portsmouth Baptist Church. The family would like to extend a special thanks to all the staff of Heartland Nursing Home for their special care.

A private memorial will take place at the discretion of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Portsmouth and Scioto Residential Services.

Arrangements are under the direction of Melcher Funeral Home in Portsmouth.
