Notre Dame, welcome to the postseason.
Last Friday, all seemed lost for the Titans, who dropped their final game to East. By Saturday, Notre Dame sat in ninth place in Region 24.
Sunday afternoon, all of that changed due to a game that was never played.
Cincinnati Country Day was in eighth place, but because one of CCD's out-of-state opponents cancelled its final game, the change in the Indians' Level 2 divisor was great enough to change the team's final point standing. With that change, Notre Dame moved into the eighth and final spot in the rankings, giving the team its first playoff appearance since 2000. The Titans beat out the Indians by six-hundereths of a point.
The Titans will not be on the road Saturday against top-seeded Covington. Joining them in Saturday postseason will be the Tartans, who will host Mechanicsburg, Portsmouth, who will head to Pataskala Licking Heights and Waverly, who will be at home versus Belmont Union Local.
On Friday, Wheelersburg will host West Lafayette Ridgewood and Minford will be on the road at Johnstown-Monroe in Division V action.
All first-round games will start at 7:30 p.m.
