Virginia was born July 31, 1928, in Lewis County, Ky., and was a daughter of the late Charles and Hattie Buckner Bloomfield.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Larry Curtis Liles; six brothers, Bertram Bloomfield, Leroy Bloomfield, Lovell Bloomfield, Dewey Bloomfield, Marcus Bloomfield and Ted Bloomfield; and two sisters, Mary Ora Cooper and Inez Wilson.
Mrs. Liles was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and a loyal friend throughout her life. She dedicated her life to helping others. She was a retired employee of the State of Ohio School for the Deaf, where she had the position of a cottage supervisor.
She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Rita and Robert Graham of Manly, Iowa; one sister, Dorothy Violet Ohlert of Madison, Ohio; three granddaughters, Melainie Herron, and husband, Patrick of Montrose, Colo., Amanda Hines, and husband, Adam of Manly, Iowa, and Rebecca Gaughan, and husband, Matt of Sacramento, Calif.; five great-grandchildren, Jennie Lewis, and husband, Steve, Jessica Trushcheff, and husband, Travis, and Evan Tilley, Averie Hines and Elizabeth McCormick; one great-great-grandson, Hunter Lewis; several nieces and nephews; and numerous cousins and friends who will mourn her passing.
A memorial service will take place at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2007, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Camp Dix with Brother Dale Richmond officiating. Burial will follow in Morgan Cemetery on Ky. 59 in Lewis County, Ky.
