Randall Clevenger, 71, of Rosemount, died Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2007, at SOMC Hospice Center.

He was born Sept. 9, 1936, in Sandy Hook, Ky., a son of the late Beecher Green and Irene Adkins Clevenger.

He also was preceded in death by one grandson, Nick Harris.

He is survived by his wife, Darlene Chandler Clevenger, whom he married July 27, 1957, in Indiana; two daughters, Debbie (Larry) VanHoose, of Lucasville, and Kim Clev-enger, of Portsmouth; two sons, Jeff (Jan) Clevenger, of Rosemount, and Scott (Lisa) Clevenger, of Stoutsville, Ohio; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Delores (Jack) Beebe, of Lucasville, and Susie (Dennis) Hagerty, of Jacksonville, Fla.; and many nieces, nephews, cous-ins and close friends.

Randall was the retired owner and operator of Clevenger Construction, former Detroit Steel employee, former member of the Portsmouth Area Chamber of Commerce, member and trustee of Candy Run United Baptist Church, and a 1956 Clay High School graduate. Randall was a great community person, donating his time and talents to many charitable organizations.

Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, 2007, at Candy Run United Baptist Church with Elders Dave Thompson and Arvil Murray Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Rose-mount Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at McKinley Funeral Home in Lucasville and from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church.
