Maxine Kallner, 88, of Minford, died Monday, Oct. 8, 2007, at the SOMC emergency room in Portsmouth.

Born May 2, 1919, in Muletown, Scioto County, a daughter of the late Leslie O. and Olive Dell Dodds Allen. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by one son, Wayne (Caroline) Allen, of Minford; three daughters, Martha (John) Burchett, of Minford, Wanda (Richard) Bobst, of Minford, and Janet (George) Honaker, of Goshen; two stepdaughters, Marie Burton, of Georgia, and Catherine (James) Pyle, of Pataskala; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and several stepgrandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Allen Kallner, on May 8, 1986; five sisters, Fay Ryan, Evelyn Darnell, Rowena McLaughlin, Elaine Conkel and Juanita Armstrong; and one brother, Jack Allen.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2007, at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Pastor Scott Duncan officiating. Burial will be in Bennett Cemetery in Minford. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and one hour before the services Wednesday.
