“Scioto County Pride!” That's the name of a special section coming soon in the Portsmouth Daily Times. And rightly so! Scioto County area residents find their lives blessed and enriched by a wide variety of organizations and entities, public and private.

They include service clubs, hospitals, educational systems, libraries, museums, an orchestra, arts council and center, state forests, Red Cross, United Way and a myriad of industries. And that's not to mention municipal and state government services and attractions.

This special section will allow those entities to “toot their own horn” and help us tell their stories in words and pictures. We invite them to let their Scioto County neighbors know what they do to make life better here, and to submit photographs to help tell their stories.
