Raymond Gary “Ray” Wilburn, 61, of Burns Tenn., formerly of South Webster, died Sunday Sept. 9, 2007, at his home.

He was born Feb. 6, 1946, in Portsmouth, Ohio, a son of the late John and Sylvia Vaughn Wilburn. He was a carpenter and wood finisher by trade and retired laborer from the T.W. Frieson Corporation with 21 years of service. He was of the Baptist faith, and he loved his family, his horses and he loved life.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Wilburn; one daughter, Paula Wilburn Mollett, of Portsmouth; three

stepsons, Martin “Marty” Plunkett, of Dickson, Tenn., Steve Plunkett and his wife Billie Jo, of Ashland City, Tenn., and Scott Plunkett and his wife Lisa, of Lyles Tenn.; four brothers, Tom and Kenneth Wilburn, of Dickson Tenn., Chester (Vera) Wilburn, of Marion, Ohio, Richard (Johna) Wilburn, of Franklin Furnace, Ohio; two sisters, Marjorie Wilburn Maynard and Georgie Wilburn Booth, both of South Webster; seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Don and Gene Wilburn.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 13, 2007, at the D.W. Davis Funeral Home in South Webster with the Rev. Justin Grinstead officiating and interment in South Webster Cemetery. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of the services Thursday at the D.W. Davis Funeral Home in South Webster.
