She was born Nov. 24, 1927, in Williamson, W.Va., to the late Fred and Elizabeth Snook Smith. Ms. Smith was a member of Central Presbyterian Church and attended Marshall
University. The two great joys of her life were the sharing of her Christian faith and her love of music.
She is survived by a sister-in-law, Martha J. Smith, of Greeneville, Tenn.; a nephew, Casey L. Smith, of North Carolina; a niece and son-in-law, Karen (Smith) and Allen Price, and their children, Landon, Madison and Grayson, all of Knoxville, Tenn.; cousins, Ann Athey, of West Virginia, Sandy Snook, of Wheelersburg, along with other cousins in Pikeville, Ky., and Houston, Texas; special friends, Charlene Aeh, Anna Mayo, Linda Pickelsimer, Wilma Greenhill and Norma Jean Conley; all her wonderful caregivers and helpers including Karen Wilcoxin, Randy Lewis, Sandy Wamsley and Riverview friends, as well as Central Presbyterian Church friends.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant sister, Jean; and her brother, Fred M. Smith Jr.
The family will receive friends Friday, Sept. 14, 2007, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg, Ohio. Private graveside services will be at the convenience of the family.
