Danny D. Stidham, 42, of Sciotoville, died Monday, July 30, 2007, in the SOMC emergency room from an apparent heart attack.

He was born Feb. 23, 1965, in Portsmouth, a son of Claude E. and Linda Truman Stidham, and Dave and Dee-Dee Howard, all of Sciotoville.

Also surviving are his wife of 25 years, Anette Miller Stidham; sons, Danny (Amber) Stidham Jr., of Ostrander, and Philip (Elesa) Stidham, of Minford; daughters, Danielle Stidham, of Sciotoville, and Ashley (Eric) Scalf, of Statesville, N.C.; brothers, Rusty (Lynn) Stidham, of Portsmouth, and Claude (Charlotte) Stidham, of Sciotoville; sisters, Tracy (Jack) Beesler, of Sciotoville, and Brenda (Corey) Gillam, of West Portsmouth; brothers, Ritchie and Scott Howard; sisters, Melissa, Lynn and Marty, all of Sciotoville; grandmother, Maxine Stidham, of Portsmouth; grandchildren, Brittany Stidham, Isaac, Autumn and Chelsea Huff, Elijaa Stidham and Kameron Stidham, and two expected; six uncles, seven aunts and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Danny was preceded in death by his dad, Claude E. Stidham; grandparents, James and Ethel Truman, Claude Stidham, and Cliff and Gladys Howard; an uncle, Don Howard; and cousins, Terry Wiseman and Barbara Jo Perry.

A funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Brant Funeral Home in Sciotoville with Pastor Randy Schintzius officiating. Interment will be in McKendree Cemetery. Friends may call at Brant's in Sciotoville from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
